WayBetter Technologies LLC ("Findell," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Findell mobile application and related services.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: Name, email address, password, and profile details when you create an account.
- Financial Information: When you connect your bank accounts through Plaid, we receive transaction data, account balances, and account holder information. We never receive or store your bank login credentials.
- User Content: Messages you send to our AI coaches (Vera, Rex, Nova), goals you set, and preferences you configure.
- Payment Information: For premium subscriptions, payment is processed securely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not directly collect or store credit card numbers.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
- Usage Data: App features used, time spent in app, crash reports, and performance data.
- Location: General location (city/region) based on IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
- Plaid: We use Plaid Inc. to connect your bank accounts. When you link accounts, Plaid shares transaction history, account balances, and account holder name with us. Review Plaid's Privacy Policy.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide Services: Deliver personalized financial coaching, track your spending, calculate your Financial Health Score, and deliver Academy lessons.
- AI Coaching: Your financial data and conversation history enable Vera, Rex, and Nova to provide personalized, contextual advice. AI-generated insights are educational, not licensed financial advice.
- Improve Services: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features, fix bugs, and develop new functionality.
- Communications: Send you weekly reports, achievement notifications, product updates, and respond to support requests.
- Security: Detect and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, and other harmful activities.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- Service Providers: Plaid (bank connections), cloud hosting providers, analytics services, and customer support tools—all bound by confidentiality agreements.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and safety.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity.
4. Data Security
- Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).
- Access Controls: Strict access controls limit employee access to personal data.
- Plaid Security: Bank credentials are handled exclusively by Plaid using bank-level encryption. Findell never sees your bank username or password.
- Audits: We conduct annual third-party security audits.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 7). After account deletion, we may retain anonymized, aggregated data for analytics.
6. Children's Privacy
Findell is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly.
7. Your Rights and Choices
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
- Correction: Update inaccurate information in your account settings.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing privacy@findellapp.com.
- Disconnect Banks: Remove linked bank accounts at any time in app settings.
- Marketing Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails via the link in each email.
California Residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what data we collect, request deletion, and opt out of sale (we do not sell data). Contact privacy@findellapp.com.
8. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States. By using Findell, you consent to this transfer. We implement appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
9. Third-Party Links
Our app may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing personal information.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
